Shawbrook has announced a series of major enhancements to its buy-to-let (BTL) proposition, expanding product choice for landlords, cutting rates and rolling out new tools to support brokers.
The lender has retired its Limited Edition BTL products and launched an expanded suite of Complex BTL options, giving clients greater flexibility when structuring deals. Landlords can now select arrangement fees of 2%, 3% or 5% across the full Complex BTL range, with a choice of 2-, 3-, 5- or 10-year fixed and variable rate options.
To simplify product comparisons, Shawbrook has rebuilt its Broker Hub Calculator. The upgraded tool allows brokers to filter by fixed rate period or arrangement fee and apply an EPC rating to ensure quotes reflect the correct EPC-based discount. The lender says the redesign will make it quicker and easier for brokers to identify the most suitable financing solution for their clients.
As part of the revamp, Shawbrook has also cut rates by up to 0.40% on Complex BTL loans under £1m, improving cost-effectiveness for landlords. In addition, the bank has aligned its loan size bandings with its Commercial Mortgages product range, providing consistency across portfolios and helping brokers manage active cases.
Daryl Norkett, Director of Real Estate Proposition at Shawbrook, said the changes were designed to broaden flexibility and streamline the broker journey: “These enhancements demonstrate our commitment to supporting brokers and their clients with solutions that meet a wide range of needs. By expanding our product range and improving our terms, we’re making it simpler for landlords to secure the right financing for their property investments. Equally, our new Broker Hub Calculator will make it easier for brokers to compare these options and consider what best suits their individual customer’s needs.”
With sharper pricing, more product options and an improved digital platform, Shawbrook says it is positioning itself to better serve the needs of landlords investing in increasingly complex property portfolios.
